Taste of the Santa Ynez Valley 2024 (Sept. 26th - 29th)

Enjoy wines from the Los Alamos region and Santa Maria Valley, along with local bites. Must be 21+ to participate.

The Los Alamos Wine Tasting Reception will take place at The Maker’s Son (346 Bell St, Los Alamos, CA 93440) from 4 - 5:30 p.m. 

This ticket does not include entry into the Los Alamos Dinner. 

Pull up a chair for a seated dinner served at a lengthy communal table, open-air, in the middle of Los Alamos’ Bell Street, featuring Full of Life Flatbread, Bell’s, PICO, Plenty on Bell, and Bob’s Well Bread Bakery, with Santa Maria and Los Alamos wines from 6 - 8 p.m. Dinner will be served family style. Dinner will be paired with Los Alamos and Santa Maria Valley wines.

This ticket includes the Los Alamos Tasting Reception that begins at 4 p.m. at The Maker’s Son.  

The Los Alamos Dinner will take place on Bell Street in front of Ferrini Park (267 Bell Street, Los Alamos) from 6 - 8 p.m. 

Since 2009 Vino Vaqueros Horseback Riding has been the Santa Barbara Wine Country’s original private horseback riding experience.

Each private, 75-90 minute guided ride takes you through the most breathtaking scenery the Santa Ynez Valley has to offer.

The ride concludes with a wine tasting.

Vineyard Yoga SYV connects yoga enthusiasts with the natural world by experiencing the beauty of the Santa Ynez Valley.

Enjoy a 1-hour feel good yoga class at Sunstone Winery with a glass of wine or hemp THC-spritz tasting flight on the cave top terrace, following the class.

Please bring a yoga mat, water and sunblock, a blanket or towel to put under your mat, yoga props you may like to use (block, strap, blanket, etc.).

The iconic downtown street will feature dinner by Mattei’s Tavern,  Bar Le Cote, Nella Kitchen & Bar, Los Olivos Wine Merchant Café, and Enjoy Cupcakes from 6 - 8 p.m. Dinner will be paired with wines from Los Olivos and Ballard Canyon. Dinner will be served family style. 

This ticket includes entry to the Los Olivos Wine Tasting Reception at Coquelicot Tasting Room Courtyard from 4 - 5:30 p.m.

The Los Olivos Dinner will take place on Grand Avenue by Saarloos & Sons (2971 Grand Ave, Los Olivos, CA 93441) from 6 - 8 p.m.

Explore the great outdoors at Alisal Ranch via horseback through the property, followed by a classic cowboy breakfast. All horseback riders will need to check in for the ride between 7:15am and 7:45am depending on rider level (beginner, intermediate, or advanced).

Join us at Community Clayworks and get your hands dirty! In this 2-hour workshop, you'll learn to create a coffee mug from scratch using slabs of clay. Customize your piece with unique surface decorations by designing and printing with your own stencil. Your finished masterpiece will be ready for pick-up at the studio in 2 weeks, or we can ship it to you upon request. No experience necessary—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm!

Little King Coffee will offer a coffee tasting featuring three single origin coffees from different parts of the world. Guests will have the opportunity to watch a pour over demonstration and learn to discern the unique flavor profiles that showcase different growing regions.

Come learn how to up your home coffee game and create your own personalized cup for those future brews! 

The class will take place at Community Clayworks at 37 Industrial Way Suite 111, Buellton, CA 93427. 

Nestled amongst ancient oaks, with sweeping views of the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, this will be an unique tasting to not miss. Inspired by the Franc Fest Tastings previously held in the Santa Ynez Valley, Franc & Blanc is a reincarnated and newly improved tasting that highlights one of the most beguiling, intriguing and most successful red Bordeaux grapes grown here in the eastern edges of the Santa Ynez Valley – Cabernet Franc. Wineries from all over Santa Barbara Wine Country will convene at Gainey Estate Vineyards for a special tasting focusing on Cabernet Franc and other Blanc based wines like Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. There will be highly curated food matched to these wines along with live music.

The Santa Ynez Dinner will take place at Sunstone Winery, with a reception starting at 5 p.m. and dinner from 6 to 8 p.m.

Join us for an educational vineyard walk followed by a tasting of Sarloos & Sons wines, hosted by winemaker and proprieter, Keith Saarloos.  

Starting with an enlightening vineyard walk, we'll explore the vineyard's picturesque landscape. Guests will learn about the unique terroir and sustainable practices that shape each harvest. Keith will share insights and stories, enriching the journey from ground to glass. The walk will culminate in a tasting that embodies the essence of the vineyard. 

The walk and tasting is roughly 3 hours long through up and down rolling hills. We highly recommend bringing layers & comfy, closed toe shoes/boots!

Grab a glass of wine and a paintbrush at the picturesque Kaena at the Ranch!

Not just another paint and sip class, this is a full-sensory experience. Our watercolor class will guide you through a painting of Kaena Winery on professional watercolor paper. The outlined image will be provided for you so you can enjoy this stress-free experience learning watercolor techniques, tips and tricks surrounded by the beauty of the vineyard.

Don’t consider yourself an artist just yet? Don’t worry. Our trained artist will walk you through the entire painting process step-by-step. No previous painting experience necessary. You’ll be amazed at what you can create in just a few hours- even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush in your life!

Your experience includes a tasting of Kaena wine and all the supplies necessary to create your landscape masterpiece.

This class will take place at Kaena at the Ranch, 800 E Hwy 246, Solvang, CA 93463.

Join us in Buellton at Hitching Post II, an iconic location featured in the award winning film Sideways as we celebrate the film's 20th anniversary! There will be bites from Hitching Post 2, Buellton restaurants, and Sta. Rita Hills and Buellton wine, beer, and live music. We will have Instagramable moments from the film scattered throughout the venue and an appearance by Virginia Madsen.

Tickets to Sideways 20th Anniversary Festival include tickets to the Sideways Film Screening at Solvang Festival Theater in the evening, 5pm - 9pm.
